Iran to Facilitate Visits to Iraqi Holy Sites by Afghan Nationals

Kabul--The Islamic Republic of Iran will facilitate visits to holy religious sites in Iraq, including Karbala, by Afghan pilgrims, according to an official of the Cultural Affairs Department at Iran's Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, IRNA reported.
Afghan Minister of Pilgrimage and Endowment Mohammad Amin Naseryar was informed of Iran's decision on Sunday, he said.
The Iranian official said necessary coordination would be made with Afghan Ministry of Pilgrimage and Endowment to that end.
The Afghan official had also been informed that Iran will help its ministry to develop its central library.
Naseryar thanked Iran for cooperation with Afghanistan in different periods and noted that facilitating pilgrimage visits by Afghans to Iraqi holy sites would be a good way to promote mutual cooperation.
